About Heidi Louise, Australian shoemaker

Color is Life!!

I gain inspiration from the bright colors and curved lines of the underwater world.
"Color is life" as the saying goes.
I like to incorporate fins and florescent colors of tropical fish with the curved lines and contours of the female body, as crazy as that sounds!

I am drawn to natural materials like leather, shell, linen, cotton, wool, wood, stone. I think being touched by nature is good for the soul.
Stepping outside the limitations of high fashion I like to carve my own path in design and combine unique styles with practicality and comfort.
Heidi Cozens, Owner of Heidi Louise Shoemaker

Born in a small South Australian town in 1974, I graduated as a fully qualified Shoemaker 1994 at Marleston Tafe.
I went on to study with Tim Skryme to learn more of the forgotten hand skills of the trade.

Each pair of shoes is hand made by me in my Adelaide work-space. I use all leather upper, lining, stiffeners, and insoles.
Also the highest quality solings are chosen for comfort and support.

My journey to becoming a shoemaker started with my desire for something different. I’ve always loved shoes, but I found that what was available in the market didn’t quite meet my needs.

I began exploring the process of shoemaking and instantly fell in love with this craft. It wasn’t long before I decided to take this passion to the next level.

One of the things that sets my shoes apart is their exceptional quality. I am dedicated to using only the finest materials and each pair of shoes is handcrafted with the utmost care.
